Sometimes, when we launch our favorite game again, a problem appears. Below are the most common Roblox errors and ways to fix them. Soon you will understand why the application does not work and an error window pops up.
List of Errors and Solutions
When a problem occurs, the game labels errors with serial numbers for convenience. Let’s look at possible difficulties when launching the client in this format.
Error 267
This error usually appears when you are not allowed into a specific simulator for some reason. It could be a ban, insufficient account age, etc. But sometimes the problem may be caused by software issues.
If you have checked and noticed no restrictions, you can fix the situation by simply trying again later.
Errors 279, 277, and 524
What do these errors mean? The error occurs due to network connection issues. This could be an internet problem, firewall or antivirus blocking. But sometimes the Roblox servers are to blame. Occasionally, it happens that there is a network connection, but its speed is insufficient.
You can resolve the issue in one of the following ways:
- Check your network connection. Only after ensuring it is available, proceed to the next steps.
- Disable the Windows firewall. Check if the error has disappeared.
- Try disabling all browser extensions temporarily.
- Following one of the guides, open all the ports that might be closed.
- Try disabling the antivirus temporarily.
- Check the “hosts” file for any extraneous entries.
Error 273
This error occurs due to a ban from the game administration, a slow network connection, or an attempt to log in from two devices simultaneously.
Error 529
This error is caused by server issues. In such cases, all players are kicked. You can resolve the issue by simply waiting. Try playing another simulator, and after a few hours, try logging in again.
Error 264
This problem occurs when a user tries to log in to the game from two devices simultaneously. For example, you launch Roblox on your phone, then switch to your computer and try to do the same. Check all devices where the game might be running and log out of your account.
Error 268
When this error occurs, the user receives a message: “You have been kicked due to unexpected client behavior”. The problem may be caused by the following reasons:
- Incorrectly configured browser cache.
- One of the network connection issues.
- Old version of the client.
As a solution, you can try updating Roblox Player, checking network access, disabling the firewall, and the antivirus.
Error 522
This error occurs when the network connection is made through a third-party platform, such as Cloudflare. The latter is intended to provide anonymity or increase download speed. Accordingly, try connecting directly and retry logging into the server.
Error 610
A banal problem that occurs when the game server is overloaded. When too many users join a particular Roblox mode, a limit is activated, and those who try to connect encounter an error. There is nothing else to do but wait.
Error 517
Another very common error. Here are some of the most relevant causes:
- Network connection issue.
- Attempt to connect to the server that just kicked you.
- Blocking by firewall or antivirus.
- Pirated version of the game.
- Outdated Roblox Player client.
Error 523
Another error related to server issues. This problem can occur in many cases. For example, the administration blocked the user. The same happens when the privacy settings of a particular game mode are changed. The user can do nothing in this case.
Error 773
This error occurs when using cheats. Specifically, it is about a modification that allows teleporting the game character. The situation can develop in two ways. Either you are banned and will no longer be able to connect to the server, or after some time you can try again.
Error 400
There can be many different situations causing this problem. The essence of the error lies in the issues of the game client and the server it connects to. You can write to the developers and report the situation. Unfortunately, there is nothing more you can do.
There is one way to mitigate the frustration from this problem. Just join another server, and then gain an advantage in the game by using secret codes.
Error 769
Another error related to server malfunctions. Again, the player cannot do anything. However, the problem can be resolved if the error is caused by the game client. To do this:
- Try updating Roblox Player to the latest version.
- Check for blocks from antivirus or firewall.
- Make sure you are using the new client version for PC or Android smartphone.
In some cases, the situation was easily resolved by launching the game client as an administrator. To do this, right-click on the Roblox shortcut, then navigate to the folder with the executable file. Again, using the context menu, select the option to run the program with administrative privileges.
Error 103
There are several reasons for this error:
- Age indication issue on Xbox One. This situation is most often observed when registering an account using a game console and then logging in on a PC.
- Blocking by a parent account. If your Roblox account is set as a child account, the user with the parent account may impose certain restrictions.
- The error occurs due to incorrect port allocation between the operating system and Roblox. Activating the UPnP network mode in the corresponding section of the computer or router configuration helps.
- Game client issue. Users often download the game from third-party resources. Such applications usually cause errors later. Go to the site and download a clean, original version of Roblox Player from there.
Error 17
Another very common error, again related to poor network connection. The system displays the message: “Roblox an error occurred while starting Roblox”. Check for blocks from the firewall or antivirus. Try restarting the router if the connection is wireless.
An Unknown Error Occurred — Please Try Again
This message appears for one of the following reasons:
- Any of the errors listed above.
- Outdated client or application downloaded from a pirated site.
- Need to run as administrator.
- Other program malfunctions.
